Getting There

Koh Samui is situated in the Gulf of Thailand, a 45-minute flight from Bangkok.

Bangkok Airways offers the most frequent service and operates direct flights from Bangkok, Phuket, Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Thai Airways also operates daily flights from Bangkok.

On arrival at Koh Samui Airport, a car transfer will be arranged to transport you directly to BAN SURIYA. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes and costs approximately US$50 each way, for a maximum of seven passengers.

Getting around

Approximately 25km long and 20km wide, it takes just over an hour to drive around the entire island of Samui. The villa manager can arrange car hire with or without a driver. To drive in Thailand, you will need a valid international driving license.

Taxis are readily available and can be booked by the villa manager.


From January to September, most days will be sun-filled. The ‘green’ season lasts from mid-October to mid-December, although this usually amounts to no more than a heavy shower late in the day. Throughout the year, temperatures average 30 degrees Celsius.
